Material needed to play game:

Approx. 1 kg of dry rice, lentils, seeds or beans can be used as sock filler during the game.  Always ask your parents permission before using.

Object of game:

Fill your sock first to get the best position to toss your sock into the bucket to win.  The game is played with all playing discs and cards face down.

How to play the game:

Place the 60 discs face down on a flat playing surface (in the middle of the table)  and hand out the 6 oval Sock Cards, one to each player, face down so as not to reveal the card to any of the players.  Each player takes 5 discs and places them face down in a row next to his/her Sock Card.  The pile can be shuffled by any player at any time during the game.  Game play starts clockwise, with the first player flipping a play disc and completing the action stated on the disc.
Actions are as follows:

Flip your Sock Card
Large Fill
Small Fill
Block
Un-Block
Swap
Miss a Turn
Change Direction
Extra Bucket Toss

The first player needs to flip a disc, read the action and show it to the other players (unless it is a Block or Un-block card).  After the action is done, the player needs to return the disc to the pile in the middle of the table, and take a new disc from the pile, placing it face down in front of him/her.  Players need to have five discs in front of them at all times. Players are only allowed to look at one disc at a time, when it is his/her turn to play.
A Block or Un-block disc gives a player an advantage over the other players.  He/she needs to keep it a secret until the best time to play the advantage.  The player needs to place the disc face down on the top of their Sock Card, to be used later and get a replacement disc from pile.  Even after losing a disc to another player, a replacement disc needs to be taken from the pile in the centre of the table.
If the player flips an Extra Bucket Toss disc, the player needs to place the disc face up below their Sock Card and get a replacement disc from the pile in the centre of the table.  The Extra Bucket Toss disc is also the only disc allowed face up in the game.
If the player has flipped a Flip your Sock card disc, the player can now flip his/her sock card and retrieve the colour sock from the bucket and return the disc to the pile and take a replacement disc from the pile.  After the player receives his/her sock they can start filling it when they flip a Large Fill or a Small Fill disc.  By using the measuring scoop and dry material (rice, lentils, seeds or beans), a player fills the scoop to the 30ml (Small Fill) mark or the 60ml (Large Fill) mark and then pour into his/her colour sock.  The player then returns the disc to the pile and takes a replacement disc from the pile.
Important note:  A player can only start filling a sock after a Flip your Sock Card has been played.  Before the player receives a sock, all Large and Small Fill discs are returned to the pile and a replacement disc needs to be taken.

When flipping the Miss a Turn disc, the player may choose any other player to hand the disk to.  The player that receives the Miss a Turn disc needs to place it face up on their Sock Card and when it is his/her turn, the Miss a Turn disc gets placed back onto the pile and that player misses their turn to play.
If a player has flipped the Change Direction disc, the player needs to show disc to the other players and the direction changes.  Example:  if the play was moving clockwise, the play will immediately change to anti-clockwise.  The player returns the disk to the pile and takes a replacement disc.
If a player has flipped a Swap disc the player can swap any disc with any other player or the pile.  The player may also take any face down disc on any of the Sock Cards or take any Extra Bucket Toss disc.  The player is not allowed to look at any swapped discs, it needs to be placed face down in front of him/her, until his/her next turn.  Except in the case of an Extra Bucket Toss disc, said disc gets placed face up below his/her Sock Card.  Player holding the Swap disc then needs to return the Swap disc to the pile and takes a replacement disc.  A player who has lost his/her disc can only replace the disc if it was taken from the five face discs down in front of him/her.

Block and Un-block discs can be played by any player at any time during the game to block another player when they flip a Fill Disc (large or small).  The Un-block disc always cancels out the Block disc.  For example: if a player plays Large Fill disc and another player shows that player a Block disc, that player cannot complete Large Fill action.  Both Blocked and Large Fill discs need to be returned to the pile.  Only if player who has flipped the Large Fill disc has an Un-block disc, the block will be cancelled and he/she completes the fill action.  The Large Fill, Block and Un-block discs all then need to be returned to the pile.

Duration of Game:

The game can be played by 2 to 6 players.  2 to 3 players need to fill their sock with 3 Large Fills or 6 Small Fills.  4 to 5 Players need to fill their socks with 2.5 Large Fills or 5 Small Fills, 6 players need to fill their socks with 2 Large Fills or 4 Small Fills.  The players keep on playing until everyone’s sock is filled.  The last player can fill his/her sock with the second to last player to end of the game play.

Fill Sock, now Toss:

Once your sock is filled, twist your sock and flip it inside out (onto itself) to create a ball.  With your filled sock, the Sock Card goes into the bucket, the Extra Can Toss disc is kept by the player.  After all the players have completed filling their socks, the bucket gets moved to the floor.  Players need to line up: The first player to finish filling his/her sock, stands one stride (approx. 1m) away from the bucket and with an underarm action tosses the sock into the bucket.  The second player stands one and half strides (approx. 1.5m) away and with an underarm action tosses the sock into the bucket.  The third player stands two strides (approx. 2m) away from the bucket and with an underarm action tosses the sock into the bucket.  The fourth player stands two and a half strides (approx. 2.5m) away and with an underarm action tosses the sock into the bucket.
The fifth player stands three strides (approx. 3m) away from the bucket and with an underarm action tosses the sock in to the bucket.  The sixth player stands three and a half strides (approx. 3.5) away and with an underarm action tosses the sock into the bucket.  The Extra Bucket Toss disc can be used by any player during his/her turn for an extra toss.  The first player to get his/her sock tossed into the bucket wins.  The game only ends when all players have successfully tossed their socks into the bucket.  After every turn a player needs to move to the back of the line and with their next turn, move a stride closer to the bucket on his/her next toss.
